Hi

I'm having the same problem. These are the #'s that have called us so far:

The same 3 as above plus 9095029102 Spoke to a nice fellow a the DNR and he said the way they get Cell phone #s is that they start of with a certain number and keep changing the last # etc till they reach a valid #. Computer generated. Told me that the CRTC will go after them because it doesn't matter if originated from us or not they have to abide by our rules. They should be made to pay for the call when it goes to a cell. I always check before answering if my phone rings with a certain tune. That means its from someone I don't know. My other calls have distinct ringtones so I know I can pick up. But my husband uses his for work and he cannot tell whos calling and then he has to pay for *?**!!! idiots call. Glad I came across this site so I can vent also! I get ripped off enough with stupid charges like $1.00 fee from bell to receive their invoice for charges! Daugh! their service and I'm paying for them to tell me how much I owe. What is this world coming too and their not the only ones. Starting checking your bills and see where your getting nickled and dimed. Now these stupid telemarketers. Sorry had to vent.

To Mike,

Thanks for your comment and for visiting my blog. I'm glad I could be of help to you.

To Tom,

Thanks for your feedback. I have only had these types of calls hit my cellphone because I don't have a landline. I feel your pain, friend. I hate that international entities can get around the rules here. And that there's nothing we can do about it.

I'm glad you like my blog. If you find anything you like, feel free to comment and I'll try and reply as soon as I can.

Came across your site checking a recent "missed" call. Just to say that I've got a variety of automated calls ( "this is your captain speaking" "You are eligable for a weeks stay at" as well as the warranty one) on my land line. I just got hit on my cell phone. I'm in Ontario and the various sites id'd the number as coming from California!!! They must believe we're all suffering from brain freeze ;).

By the way interesting site here. I've bked it and shall check it out in depth later. I'm a 61yr old male retired w/ socialist inclinations.
